Spent the night in Oyster Bay on Long Island’s North Shore. Although the weather was sunny and warm, calm waters with light winds, our sails remained up for 20% of the 66 miles we traveled. WSW winds when you are going same, do not make for an ability to sail. Just for once we’d like to sail at 90 degrees.
Tomorrow we head out around 8:30 for the trip through the East River, passing Roosevelt Island, Manhattan, Lady Liberty and out toward NJ.
